The Lady Rockies hosted the SB Adams Eagles last night in JV/Varsity action. The JV would have a delayed start due to a lighting delay that would push back kickoff to 6:20. The young Rockies would fight hard but the JV Eagles were just too much winning the first match of the night with a score of 4-0. The Varsity Rockies look to build off their last game in continuing to get better. The Eagles would strike first with scoring in the first minute after the ball which went right through the goalies hand because of the wet grass and ball. The Eagles would use this momentum and get 2 more goals to take a 3-0 halftime lead. The Lady Rockies would get on the board in the 55th minute but it just wasn't enough as the Eagles would win the game 5-1. Lauren Kopetski had 17 saves to led the defense and the results might have not shown it but this was the best performance from the ladies so far this season. Coach game the Rockies are pushing their limits and going out of their comfort zone. They continue to show how much heart and grit that this group has as they continue to fight every game and with a young team this is something that we can look forward to as the season progresses. The Lady Rockies are on the road at LaVille on Thursday, August 31st with JV starting at 5 PM.
