SATURDAY August 13, 2022 - It was a great start to the season with both the Varsity and JV teams sweeping Rochester in the first home match of the year. The Varsity stepped up and got the job done in three straight sets going 25-17, 25-14, and 25-19 to finish the day. The stat leaders for the match included: Marley Christy with 5 Aces, Taylor Delp with 11 Kills, Sophie Miller with 2 Blocks, Ellie Jones/Taya Wagner each had 10 digs and Lexie Meyers and Marley Christy each 11 assists on the day. The JV shook off some early nerves to finish their day with very strong 2 set win over feisty Zebra team 25-17, 25-9. Leading the JV in stats on the day were Jersey Hunter with 6 aces, Lena Jones with 4 kills and 1 block. Jersey Hunter/Thea Shepherd had 3 digs on the day and Olivia Ringer had 5 assists. All three teams will travel to Laporte on Tuesday August 16 to take on very tough Slicer program. Action is set to begin for both JV and Freshmen at 6:00 PM EST.
