The Pilgrims opened up NLC play on the road when they travelled to Lake Wawasee to take on the host Wawasee Warriors. The Pilgrims would fight but would end up losing 2-3. Winning for the Pilgrims were both doubles teams of Caleb Bowling & Trey Delp at #1 and Trent Van Duyne & Ryan Gadziola. Coach Haeck was stated in saying, "Wawasee is an improved and more experienced team from a year ago. We let some close sets slip away and it cost us in the end. We will learn from this loss and continue to improve and move forward." The double teams continue to get better and are playing some aggressive tennis.
