Lady Pilgrims Dominate Season Opener With Triple Victory in the Pool

The Plymouth High School Girls Swimming & Diving team opened their 2025–26 season in dominant fashion Thursday night, earning three decisive wins at home over Oregon-Davis, Jimtown, and South Bend Washington in a strong early-season showcase of depth, speed, and team chemistry.  The Lady Pilgrims controlled the meet from start to finish, sweeping all three relays and collecting a series of standout individual performances across every event. Individual First-Place Finishers Several Pilgrims delivered impressive victories to fuel the team’s success: • Kathryn Morrison — 1st in 200 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly • Marisa Langfeldt — 1st in 200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststroke • Bria Fergison — 1st in 50 Freestyle • Carmen Garcia — 1st in Diving • Taylor Schadek — 1st in 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke • Ryleigh Schadek — 1st in 500 Freestyle  Plymouth also took first place in all relay events, showcasing the team’s depth and momentum: • 200 Medley Relay — T. Schadek, Langfeldt, Morrison, Golba (2:12.71) • 200 Freestyle Relay — Fergison, Langfeldt, Garcia, Morrison (2:31.52) • 400 Freestyle Relay — T. Schadek, K. Golba, M. Golba, R. Schadek (4:55.66)  Final Team Scores Plymouth delivered convincing margins in all three matchups: • Plymouth 147 – South Bend Washington 3 • Plymouth 145 – Oregon-Davis 8 • Plymouth 140 – Jimtown 24  Coach’s Reflections Following the meet, the coaching staff praised the team’s energy and execution: “What a great first meet of the season! I couldn’t have asked for more effort and energy from the girls! They all did amazing and I am looking forward to seeing where they go from here. The future is bright for PHS Swim and Dive!”
