The Lady Pilgrims Freshman team opened up their season with a tough opponent in LaPorte. The Lady Pilgrims would win the first set 25-20, second set would go to the Slicers 19-25 causing a 3rd final set. The Lady Pilgrims would end up running out of gas and would lose 11-25. Leading the team was Marrisa Kmiatek going 11/12 in serving and 22/22 setting. Also leading the way was Kristen Manges going 6/7 in hitting and 9/11 in serves. The Freshman Pilgrims are back in action Wednesday night when the Tippy Valley Vikings come to town. The game is set to start at 6 PM and the Lady Pilgrims will be in the aux gym.
