The Lady Rockies opened their season up at home against the Westview Warriors. The Lady Rockies saw Westview earlier this summer so they knew how tough the game as going to be. The Warriors would strike first scoring off a rebound in the 12th minute of the first half. The Lady Rockies controlled most of the ball during the first half and shutting down any other chance to score till late in the 1st half the Warriors would get another shot at the goal off a free kick that just went over the outstretched arms of the Rockies goalie. Coming out of the half the Lady Rockies would tighten down the defense till late in the half the Warriors again would get a shot off that just went out of reach of the goalie and the final score ended Warriors 3 Lady Rockies 0. Coach Stiles said that with the rebuilding process of our program we don't want to beak the first game of the season but that we can only improve from here on out. We will go back to the drawing board and get back at in practice. They Lady Rockies did show great improvements throughout the game and had moments of how great this team can be this year. The Lady Rockies will host Argos Thursday, August 17th when we will have a PINK OUT! Kick off is set for 5 pm and will be a varsity only contest.
